On Thanksgiving

Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity ... it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
— Melody Beattie

During the Thanksgiving season, like so many others, we at Felton Banks like to take some time to reflect on where we are and how we’ve gotten here. Since our firm’s inception, our motto has been “More Than Law,” which means that we want to be more than just lawyers to our clients. We want to serve as advisors, supporters, friends, and allies, in addition to our role as attorneys. Many times when a potential client walks in our door, he or she is carrying a heavy burden that the legal system alone cannot alleviate. Our goal is to approach each of these cases in a comprehensive and holistic way, helping our clients to resolve the whole issue and not just the legal aspects thereof.

Our “More Than Law” mission is working. We love every second of what we do here, and on this day in particular we are acutely aware that we couldn’t have made any of this happen on our own. We owe an unquantifiable debt to so many people in so many industries, who have lended their efforts and support to making this firm happen. We are so thankful to live, work, and play in the Raleigh area, which we firmly believe to be the greatest city in the greatest country on Earth. We’re grateful to our families for their unending support through the long hours and sleepless nights over these past few years.

But most of all, we’re thankful for you, our clients, for making all of this possible. None of this happens without you. Each of you gives us a unique outlet and opportunity to put our mission statement into practice, and we are extraordinarily blessed to have such a wonderful group of people to work for. Thank you so much for giving us that opportunity.

So today, from our Felton Banks family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving. We’re thankful for you.
